    MarQi Cloud was created by infrastructure engineers who have spent decades designing, scaling, and operating mission-critical systems.

    In 2025, we partnered with Digital Ignition to expand our data center capabilities in Alpharetta, GA, and build our first active zone (Zone1). With this foundation, we’re creating a platform that blends cloud and on-premise flexibility, powered entirely by open-source technologies.

    Who is behind MarQi Cloud?

    MarQi Cloud was created by infrastructure engineers who have spent decades designing, scaling and operating mission-critical systems. It is still run by the people who operate it — the engineer who designs a system is the one who gets paged for it.

    Where does MarQi Cloud operate from?

    Zone1 is live in Alpharetta, Georgia, at 190 Bluegrass Valley Pkwy. In 2025 MarQi Cloud partnered with Digital Ignition to expand its data center capability there and build that first active zone.

    What does “open-source first” actually mean here?

    The platform is built on KVM, Apache CloudStack, Ceph and WireGuard rather than proprietary appliances. There is no vendor licence in the stack, images use standard formats, and there are no egress fees — so a workload running here can be moved elsewhere without a rewrite.

    How is MarQi Cloud different from a hyperscaler?

    Three ways: infrastructure is physically in the Atlanta metro rather than a distant region, pricing is published rather than assembled from metered line items, and support reaches the engineers who run the platform instead of a scripted first line.
