Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not run on our infrastructure
This policy sets out how MarQi Cloud infrastructure may be used. It exists to protect our customers from each other and to keep the platform’s reputation — and therefore its deliverability and routing — intact. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the service, including anyone you give access to.
The general rule
Do not use MarQi Cloud to break the law, to harm others, or in a way that degrades the service for other customers. Most of what follows is an application of that principle.
Prohibited activity
Illegal content and conduct. Anything unlawful under applicable US federal or Georgia state law, including distributing child sexual abuse material, infringing intellectual property, and trafficking in stolen data or credentials.
Attacks on others. Unauthorised scanning, intrusion attempts, credential stuffing, denial-of-service traffic, or participation in a botnet — whether the target is inside or outside our network. Authorised security testing against systems you own or have written permission to test is permitted; tell us in advance so our monitoring does not treat it as a live incident.
Unsolicited bulk email. Sending spam, operating a mailing list without verifiable consent, forging headers, or relaying mail for a third party who does these things. Legitimate transactional and opt-in mail is fine.
Fraud and deception. Phishing pages, malware distribution and command-and-control infrastructure, and hosting sites that impersonate another organisation.
Resource abuse. Deliberately circumventing resource limits, or running workloads whose primary purpose is to consume shared capacity at other customers’ expense.
Security expectations
You are responsible for the security of what you run. In practice that means keeping operating systems and applications patched, not exposing management interfaces to the public internet when a private VPC and a WireGuard tunnel are available, using strong and unique credentials, and removing access promptly when someone leaves your team. A compromised instance on our network becomes everyone’s problem, which is why we treat this as an obligation and not a suggestion.
If you discover a vulnerability in our platform, report it to us at the address below rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue action against good-faith research that respects customer data and does not degrade the service.
How we enforce this
Our NOC monitors the platform 24/7 — see status and monitoring. Where we identify a violation, our normal response is to contact you and give you an opportunity to fix it. Where the activity presents an immediate risk — an active attack originating from your instance, a compromised host, or conduct that threatens the platform or other customers — we may suspend the affected resource first and notify you immediately afterwards. Repeated or deliberate violations may result in termination.
Reporting abuse
If you believe something hosted on MarQi Cloud violates this policy, tell us. Include the IP address or hostname, the timestamps with time zone, and any relevant log excerpts — specific reports get resolved quickly and vague ones do not.
